Section 1 - Open Classes

                 EXHIBITORS MUST BE RESIDENTS OF NORTHAMPTON COUNTY           

1.Exhibitors will be expected to display or parade their animals as directed by the

   Superintendent; to accept the stall assigned without controversy; to keep their animals in

   an attractive appearance, and to cooperate with the Department In every way that may serve to increase the educational value of the show.       

2. Exhibitors of livestock must inform themselves as to when their stock will be judged. Stock must be in the ring promptly on call and a failure to comply with the order renders exhibitors liable to be ruled out of competing.        

3. Decorations with ribbons or ornaments previously won by animals at shows shall be prohibited until after the awards have been made in their respective classes by the judges.        

4. Exhibitors must have all animals listed for competition on the grounds not later than 9:00 PM. Tuesday. All such animals shall remain on the premises until 10:00 PM. Saturday, unless released by the Superintendent.       

5.  The exhibitors will be expected to keep the space they occupy in a clean and sanitary condition and to remove all their equipment promptly as the Superintendent may direct.

8.  Junior heifer calf born between March 1, 20__. and May 31 20__.      

9.  Intermediate heifer calf born between Dec. 1, 20__. And February 28, 20__.      

10. Senior heifer calf born between September 1,20__ and November 30, 20__         

11. Summer Yearling born June 1, 20__ and August 31, 20__      

12. Junior yearling heifer born between March 1, 20__ and May 31, 20__.

13. Intermediate yearling born between December 1, and February 29, 20__.      

14. Senior yearling heifer born between September 1, 20__ and Nov. 30, 20__.

        14a. Not fresh, 2-year-old     

15. Junior Champion Female      

16. Reserve Jr. Champion Female

17. Breeders Junior Herd, three animals under 2 years old. Classes must be bred by exhibitor       

18. Dry cow any age lea. 125,000 lb. cow - DHIA proof     

19. Junior 2-year-old born between March 1, 20__. and August 31, 20__

20. Senior 2-year-old born between Sept. 1, 20__ and February 28. 20__.        

21.  Junior 3-year-old born between March 1, 20__. And August 31, 20__.       

21 a. senior 3-year-old born between

            September 1, 20__ and February 28, 20__. 

22.  4-year-old born between September 1, 20__. and August 31, 20__.       

23.  5 years and over born before September 1, 20__.       

24, Cow in milk, any age, to be judged on udder alone       

25.  Junior Get-of-Sire, three animals need not be from one herd, not more than I bull        

26.  Best 3 females, any age, bred and owned by exhibitor        

27.  Dairy herd, 3 cows that have freshened, all owned by one exhibitor       

28.  Produce of dam. 2 animals any age, either sex. The produce of one cow, need not be owned by one exhibitor.        

29.  Dam and daughter, any age need not be owned by the same exhibitor           

30.  Senior Champion Female: Ribbon or Rosette       

31.  Reserve Sr. Champion Female: Ribbon or Rosette        

32.  Grand Champion Female: Ribbon or Rosette        

33.  Reserve Grand Champion Female: Ribbon or Rosette        

34.  Jr. Owner, Breeder: Trophy & Ribbons
