Section 1 - Open Classes

ALL LIVESTOCKS EXHIBITORS MUST BE RESIDENTS OF NORTHAMPTON, MONROE, CARBON, BUCKS OR LEHIGH COUNTIES on FIRST COME, FIRST SERVE BASIS and all ANIMALS MUST BE PRE-REGISTERED.           

• Exhibitors will be expected to display or parade their animals as directed by the Superintendent; to accept the stall assigned without controversy; to keep their animals in an attractive appearance, and to cooperate with the Department In every way that may serve to increase the educational value of the show.      
• Exhibitors of livestock must inform themselves as to when their stock will be judged. Stock must be in the ring promptly on call and a failure to comply with the order renders exhibitors liable to be ruled out of competing.        
• Decorations with ribbons or ornaments previously won by animals at shows shall be prohibited until after the awards have been made in their respective classes by the judges.
• Exhibitors must have all animals listed for competition on the grounds not later than 9:00 PM. Tuesday. All such animals shall remain on the premises until 10:00 PM. Saturday, unless released by the Superintendent.       
• The exhibitors will be expected to keep the space they occupy in a clean and sanitary condition and to remove all their equipment promptly as the Superintendent may direct.     
• Black and White Show (colored breeds will be shown separately)      ​

1. Junior heifer calf born between March and May 31 of this year.      
2. Intermediate heifer calf born between Dec. 1, 20__ And February 28, of this year.      
3. Senior heifer calf born between September 1, 20__  and November 30, 20__         
4. Summer Yearling born June 1, 20__ and August 31, 20__ 
5. Junior yearling heifer born between March 1, 20__ and May 31, 20__.
6. Intermediate yearling born between December 1, and February 28, 20__.      
7. Senior yearling heifer born between September 1, 20__ and Nov. 30, 20__.     
8. Junior Champion Female      
9. Reserve Jr. Champion Female
10. Breeders Junior Herd, three animals under 2 years old. Classes must be bred by exhibitor
11. Junior Get-of-Sire, three animals need not be from one herd, not more than one bull
12. Jr. Owner, Breeder     
13. Junior 2-year-old born between March 1, 20__. and August 31, 20__
14. Senior 2-year-old born between Sept. 1, 20__ and February 28. 20__.        
15. Junior 3-year-old born between March 1, 20__. And August 31, 20__.
16. Senior 3-year-old born between September 1, 20__ and February 28, 20__. 
17. 4-year-old born between September 1, 20__. and August 31, 20__.       
18. 5 years and over born before September 1, 20__.       
19. 125,000 lb. cow - DHIA proof
20. Dry cow any age
21. Senior Champion Female
22. Reserve Sr. Champion Female
23. Grand Champion Female
24. Reserve Grand Champion Female
25. Cow in milk, any age, to be judged on udder alone       
26. Best 3 females, any age, bred and owned by exhibitor        
27. Dairy herd, 3 cows that have freshened, all owned by one exhibitor
28. Senior Get-of-Sire- three animals in milk, over the age of 2 years old, need not be from one herd, not more than 1 bull.      
29. Produce of dam. 2 animals any age, either sex. The produce of one cow, need not be owned by one exhibitor.        
30. Dam and daughter, any age need not be owned by the same exhibitor
