Section 1 - Breeding Sheep
ALL LIVESTOCKS EXHIBITORS MUST BE RESIDENTS OF NORTHAMPTON, MONROE, CARBON, BUCKS OR LEHIGH COUNTIES on FIRST COME, FIRST SERVE BASIS, and all ANIMALS MUST BE PRE-REGISTERED.
Health Rules For Sheep (only 4 pens per farm)
Section 1 - Breeding Sheep
ALL LIVESTOCKS EXHIBITORS MUST BE RESIDENTS OF NORTHAMPTON, MONROE, CARBON, BUCKS OR LEHIGH COUNTIES on FIRST COME, FIRST SERVE BASIS, and all ANIMALS MUST BE PRE-REGISTERED.
Health Rules For Sheep (only 4 pens per farm)
- No sheep showing clinical signs of contagious, Infectious or external parasitic disease including foot rot and sore mouth will be admitted to any show.
- All show sheep must be individually identified by an ear tag or tattoo and this Identification must be listed on the health certificate.
- The flock of origin, including sheep consigned to a show shall be examined by an accredited veterinarian. The veterinarian must prepare the official health certificate (AAI-13) and must state on the health certificate that he examined the entire flock and found no evidence of contagious, infectious, or external parasitic disease. The date of examination must also appear on the health certificate within 90 days of show.
- Certification by the owner and accredited veterinarian that the identified animal(s) (are not known to have been exposed to scrapie. ALL SHEEP EXCEPT WETHERS MUST BEAR AN OFFICIAL U.S.D.A/AR/HIS. EAR TAG TO BE EXHIBITED AT THE SHOW. SHEEP FROM FLOCKS ON THE VOLUNTARY SCRAPIE PROGRAM MUST BEAR THE Official EAR TAG, TATTOO OR ELECTRONIC EAR IMPLANT
- IMPORTANT RULE — Certification by the owner and an accredited veterinarian that the identified animal(s) is (are not) known to have been exposed to scrapie.
- Pen of lambs consists of two ram lambs and two ewe lambs.
- Flock consists of one ram, any age: two ewes, one year and under two years; two ewes under one year.
- Breeder’s young flock consists of one ram iamb and two ewe lambs, all bred and owned by exhibitor.
- A Get of Sire shall consist of four breeding animals, any age, or sex the get of one sire. Get need not be owned by the exhibitor.

- Pair Fall Ewe Lambs

- Pair of Ewe Lambs, bred and owned by exhibitor
- Champion and Reserve Champion Ewe of Breed (to be chosen from classes 9,11, and 13)
- Grand Champion Ram and Reserve Grand Champion Ram (to be chosen from all breeds)
- Grand Champion Ewe and Reserve Grand Champion Ewe (to be chosen from all breeds)
- Breeder’s Young Flock - one ram iamb and two ewe lambs, all bred and owned by exhibitor.
- Pen of Lambs - two ram lambs and two ewe lambs owned by exhibitor
- Get-of-Sire- Four breeding animals, both sexes represented, sired by one ram. All animals to be shown in individual classes to be eligible. All need not be owned by one individual.
- Flock - Consists of one ram (lamb or yearling), two yearling ewes and two ewe lambs. All animals to be shown in individual classes to be eligible. All need not be owned by one Individual.
Section 2 - Open Class Market Lambs - Wethers and/or Ewes
Market Classes - Born less than 9 months ago. All market animals should be weighed on the same scale under a qualified weigh-master at the discretion of the fair. Limit of three (3) lambs per exhibiter per exhibitor.
